CLIENT
CHALLENGE
Our client wanted to develop a gamified platform for primary school children to enhance 21st-century soft skills like empathy, inclusivity, and critical thinking.
To validate the idea and confirm its feasibility at an early stage, they sought a rapid Proof of Concept (POC) to test with potential clients and gain commercial interest.
They conducted an RFP process to identify tech platforms and gaming partners and Pluralit was selected as a digital solution and platform specialist, alongside another partner as a game development specialist.
We assembled a skilled Agile Team with the necessary experience and with the ability to modify, supplement, or reduce the team and its skills mix as needed during the service. Our team conducted a Product Discovery session to map out our client’s vision of their Individualised Education Programme (IEP) and develop a technology development roadmap for the mini-games, teacher's dashboard, and platform.
Within 6 weeks, we completed the first stage of technical development, producing a Proof of Concept (PoC) product that could be tested for feedback before further development. We accomplished this by running the project as three parallel development workstreams under tight yet agile project management and governance, ensuring ongoing communication and alignment with our client's design principles and priorities.
The project components for this first stage were as follows:
-
Platform infrastructure (including login) development.
-
Teacher’s dashboard and games repository development.
-
Mini-games integration.
-
Agile PM and governance.
SOLUTION
RESULTS AND
BENEFITS
We successfully completed the development of the Proof of Concept (PoC) within the project's anticipated timeframe and budget, achieving our objectives.
The next step was to conduct a 2-week friendly trial period of the platform with key stakeholders and friendly schools. During this trial period, we received good feedback and identified some bugs that needed fixing.
Now that the platform is stable and the bugs are resolved, we are moving on to the next phase of the project, which involves the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and the Commercial Product.
