NETWORK SECURITY CONSULTANT

THE POSITION

We are seeking a hands-on Network Security Consultant to act as a technical authority and lead complex network and security projects for enterprise and mid-market clients.

In this role, you will combine deep technical engineering with direct client engagement, driving end-to-end delivery of modern network security architectures. You will lead implementations around key frameworks—including SASE/SSE, Zero Trust Segmentation, and Next-Generation Firewalling (NGFW)—while mentoring team members and acting as an escalation point for complex technical challenges.

This position is ideal for a proactive engineer-consultant who thrives on solving tough architectural problems, automating deployments, and translating business goals into robust, future-proof security designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architecture & Delivery: Lead the design, configuration, and end-to-end implementation of complex, multi-vendor network security solutions.

• Security Optimisation: Review and tighten customer security postures through policy refinement, micro-segmentation models, reference architectures, and operational best practices.

• Expert Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting across core network and security layers (routing, firewalling, VPN/IPsec, SD-WAN, BGP, ZTNA, and identity traffic).

• Automation & Infrastructure: Build reusable automation scripts, libraries, and templates (using Python, Terraform, etc.) for configuration management, validation, and rapid deployment.

• Pre-Sales & Technical Scoping: Support pre-sales activities by shaping technical proposals, running product demos, and defining project scope alongside client stakeholders.

• Knowledge Sharing & Enablement: Create runbooks, documentation, and reusable assets; act as a mentor to lift the technical capabilities of junior and mid-level team members.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Seniority & Track Record: Proven background as a Network Security Consultant or Senior Engineer with experience leading delivery on complex customer engagements.

• Domain Expertise: High-level expertise in at least two core areas:

  • SASE / SSE (e.g., Cato Networks or equivalent platforms)

  • Zero Trust Micro-segmentation (e.g., Illumio or similar technologies)

  • NGFW (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Check Point)

• Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of routing, BGP, SD-WAN, IPsec/VPNs, and modern identity-based access concepts (ZTNA, SSO).

• Automation & Scripting: Solid proficiency with scripting and IaC tools (e.g., Python, Terraform) to build, validate, and document infrastructure.

• Consultative Skills: Strong ability to translate business requirements into reference architectures, defend trade-offs, and communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVE

• Active network/security certifications (e.g., PCNSE, NSE, CCIE/CCNP, or vendor SASE/Zero Trust credentials).

• Hands-on experience developing reusable Python libraries or Terraform modules for enterprise deployments.
