THE POSITION
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Networking & Data Centre (NDC) Competence Center within the Telco Media & Cloud Provider (TMCP) Business Unit. The selected candidate will be part of the Engineering team in the Network department, collaborating closely with leading Italian Service Providers to design, test, and implement complex networking solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with client engineering teams to gather project requirements
Design end-to-end Networking solutions (HLD/LLD)
Define and document migration procedures
Conduct testing activities (lab setup and acceptance testing)
Execute network implementations and migrations
Perform troubleshooting and support during deployment phases
Participate in acceptance testing processes
Work in coordination with the company’s main vendor partners
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field.
2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
In-depth knowledge of large-scale TCP/IP networks
Solid understanding of routing protocols: OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing (SR), L3VPN, L2VPN, VXLAN
Strong Layer-2 networking skills: VLAN, STP, RSTP, MST, etc.
Experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms
Hands-on experience in network architecture design
Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting methodologies
Fluent in written and spoken English
CCNA Service Provider and/or Enterprise certification
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco and Juniper professional certifications in Service Provider or Enterprise domains
Juniper JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SP, and/or JNCIS-ENT certifications
Previous experience designing and implementing data network solutions for Service Providers
Familiarity with network monitoring and measurement tools
