THE POSITION
We are seeking a hands-on Keycloak / IAM Consultant to join our identity and access management practice, delivering tailored security and identity solutions for enterprise clients across Europe.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of IAM products—with a primary focus on Keycloak / Red Hat SSO. Working closely with enterprise architects and client stakeholders, you will translate complex business use cases into secure, scalable technical requirements and drive projects through to successful deployment.
This position is ideal for an engineer-consultant who combines strong backend Java capabilities, Linux administration skills, and a deep understanding of modern authentication protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementation & Development: Design, develop, and deploy technical IAM components aligned with client functional and security goals.
Client Collaboration: Work directly with enterprise clients and solution architects to analyse information needs, clarify use cases, and refine requirements.
Technical Analysis: Translate complex functional requirements and access scenarios into robust technical designs and configurations.
Platform Customisation: Customise and extend Keycloak/Red Hat SSO environments using Java backend development and custom extensions.
Infrastructure & Automation: Deploy and maintain IAM solutions across Linux environments, container platforms, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Seniority & Degree: Educational background in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in IAM engineering.
Keycloak Expertise: Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and customising Keycloak or Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO).
IAM Standards: Deep understanding of modern identity protocols and standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SCIM, RBAC, and UMA.
Development & Scripting: Strong backend Java knowledge for custom provider/plugin development, along with version control proficiency using Git.
Linux & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Linux OS (Red Hat / CentOS) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift).
Communication & Mindset: Excellent problem-solving, client-facing communication skills, and a customer-oriented, proactive approach.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Ansible.
Exposure to broader IAM/IGA architectures and enterprise directory integrations.
