THE POSITION

As an FPGA Designer, your daily work will consist of developing FPGA projects in HDL code (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) based on functional requirements.

The ability to define the FPGA architecture, to develop custom blocks and to integrate third-party IPs is required. Applicants should be able to carry out the whole FPGA implementation and debug flows (synthesis, place & route, RTL and post-layout simulations). The ability to perform static timing analysis and to identify actions to close timing is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • FPGA Development: Design and implement FPGA logic using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.

  • RTL Coding: Create and optimize Register-Transfer Level (RTL) code for digital logic systems.

  • Simulation and Testing: Conduct simulations and hardware testing to validate FPGA designs.

  • Performance Optimization: Optimize designs for speed, power efficiency, and resource utilization.

  • Timing Analysis: Perform static timing analysis to meet timing constraints and ensure reliability.

  • IP Core Integration: Incorporate pre-designed IP cores into FPGA systems.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers.

  • Documentation: Prepare design specifications, test plans, and technical documentation.

  • Tool Proficiency: Use FPGA development tools like Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.

  • System Integration: Ensure FPGA designs integrate seamlessly into larger systems, adhering to protocols like PCIe, Ethernet, or UART.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Computer architectures and digital systems

  • FPGA architectures and related implementation flow

  • HDL languages: VHDL, Verilog

  • FPGA development tools: Quartus, Vivado, Libero SoC

  • Constraining and timing analysis skills

  • Programming languages: C / C ++ (basic skills)

  • Oral English skills are mandatory

Preferred knowledge and skills:

  • Matlab and Simulink tools

  • SystemVerilog language

  • Signal processing algorithms

  • Microcontroller architectures and related development tools

  • Embedded and real-time operating systems: Free-RTOS, uCLinux, Linux Embedded

  • Scripting languages: python, bash

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strategic, pragmatic, analytical, and technical thinking.

  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize tasks and detail-oriented.

  • Exceptional judgment, tact, and decision-making ability.

  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
