THE POSITION

We are looking for a Datacenter Engineer to work within an Italian company which has been supporting businesses, financial institutions, and public entities with application solutions and IT services for over 40 years. They are specialized mainly in supporting business needs with an ecosystem of managed services and Cloud solutions.


As a Datacenter Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the systems and services we offer to our customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the Operations – Infrastructure team, you will:

  • Provide technical support.


  • Install, maintain, and monitor systems and services at customer sites.


  • Install enterprise-class hardware server systems (Dell, IBM, Cisco, HP, etc.).


  • Design and configure virtualization solutions using VMware, vSphere, KVM, and Nutanix technologies.


  • Design and configure PDL virtualization solutions with VMware Horizon and/or DaaS technologies.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.

  • Proven experience of at least 4 years as a Datacenter Engineer or similar role.

  • Knowledge of the main TCP/IP network protocols (ipv4, ip6), smtp, dns, snmp etc.

  • Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python, etc.).

  • Familiarity with data protection systems and architectures (e.g., backup/replication).

  • Experience with SAN and enterprise-class storage systems.

  • Competence in the design and configuration of software-defined storage solutions (vSAN, Dell PowerFlex, etc.).

  • Knowledge and experience in the configuration and use of Dell VxRail solutions.

  • Expertise in configuring VMware NSX and VMware Cloud Director.

  • Previous experience in designing and configuring disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) solutions.

  • Advanced English (Mandatory)
