THE POSITION

You will join a growing analytics team dedicated to transforming data into actionable insights and predictive intelligence. In this role, you’ll work on forecasting, regression, and classification challenges using modern data science methodologies and cloud-based environments.


You’ll take ownership of the full lifecycle of data science initiatives—from data preparation and feature engineering to model development, evaluation, and communication of results—helping business stakeholders make informed, data-driven decisions.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct end-to-end data preparation, wrangling, and transformation using Python and SQL.

  • Design, train, and validate predictive models for forecasting, regression, and classification use cases.

  • Develop and test advanced machine learning algorithms and feature engineering strategies.

  • Utilise frameworks such as XGBoost or LightGBM for performance optimisation.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production and ensure scalability.

  • Communicate and present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.

  • Maintain documentation, reproducibility, and best practices across all stages of the data science workflow.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have:

  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL.

  • Experience in forecasting models, regression, and classification techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with gradient boosting frameworks (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM).

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • English level: B2 or higher.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying ML models to production or applying MLOps principles.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, or similar containerization technologies.

  • Previous exposure to industries such as retail, finance, or logistics.
