THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Advisor who combines strategic insight with hands-on technical expertise to join an innovative cybersecurity advisory team supporting enterprise clients across Europe.
This role is designed for a trusted partner who excels at assessing complex security challenges, translating technical risks into actionable business strategy, and guiding organisations through full cybersecurity transformations.
Our advisory practice embraces an innovation- and data-driven approach. In this position, you will operate at the forefront of security management, actively contributing to modern methodologies—including the responsible integration of AI within cybersecurity services and client solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Advisory: Deliver high-level strategic guidance to senior management and executives, advising clients on the transformation and optimisation of their cybersecurity organisation.
Framework Implementation: Lead cybersecurity programs and maturity assessments using established frameworks such as CIS Controls v8, NIST CSF, CCB CyberFundamentals, and ISO 27001.
Security Architecture & Governance: Design security solutions aligned with business, IT, and risk objectives; support the implementation of governance, security policies, and practical controls.
Awareness & Culture: Lead and coordinate security awareness initiatives and change management programs across client organisations.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach for junior and medior consultants, supporting operational team coordination and delivery excellence.
Innovation & Business Development: Contribute to data-driven security initiatives, thought leadership, marketing, and pre-sales activities including proposal development.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Seniority & Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor, Consultant, or Risk Strategist with broad expertise in information security and risk management.
Strategic Alignment: Strong track record of aligning information security frameworks with business strategy and translating complex requirements into practical controls.
Framework Mastery: Deep, practical familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls v8, or regional security standards.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written).
Innovation Mindset: Innovative approach with a strong affinity for AI-driven security tools and data-driven advisory methodologies.
