THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly autonomous, proactive, and experienced Senior C# Developer to join a world-renowned organisation in the performing arts industry on an initial 3-month contract.
In this role, you will take ownership of supporting, maintaining, and integrating a legacy, web-based ticketing system. You will play a pivotal role in taking proactive initiative to ensure high system stability, reliability, and performance during critical high-traffic ticketing events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Ownership & Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise a legacy web-based ticketing platform with minimal supervision.
Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate system risks, identify performance bottlenecks, and resolve software defects quickly to prevent downtime.
Integrations & Cloud Infrastructure: Support and enhance system components hosted in Microsoft Azure (Function Apps, Virtual Machines) alongside SQL Server backends.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, proactively communicating with non-technical box office and operational staff to address system inputs and technical issues.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
C# / .NET: Strong hands-on experience in backend C# architecture, maintenance, and bug fixing.
Database Management: Expert proficiency in SQL Server (query optimisation, database maintenance, and troubleshooting).
Cloud Infrastructure: Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Function Apps and Azure Virtual Machines (VMs).
Web Standards: Working knowledge of front-end web standards (JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS).
