THE POSITION
At Pluralit, we’re proud to partner with a fast-growing Norwegian fintech company building seamless, modern payment solutions for both online and physical retailers. With millions of API calls processed every day and high-profile clients across the Nordics, including Vy, Sport1, and Europris, our client is pushing the boundaries of what digital payments can be.
To support this ambitious growth, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help drive the development of our client´s next-generation payments platform. You'll work alongside a tight-knit team of experienced technologists in a startup-style culture with big goals, top-tier investors (including Schibsted Ventures and Bring Ventures), and a tech-first mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in building scalable, high-performance backend services that handle millions of requests per day. You’ll help design and implement robust APIs, integrate with third-party payment systems, and contribute to a flexible, microservices-based architecture built for speed and reliability.
You’ll be joining a team that believes in API-first design, fast deployment cycles, and taking ideas from concept to production quickly, without layers of bureaucracy.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong experience in building reliable, scalable APIs.
Strong experience with Node.js & TypeScript.
Experience with AWS (Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation).
Experience with Microservices Architecture
Familiarity with third-party API integrations and modern web protocols.
The Norwegian language is mandatory, and English is a plus
