THE POSITION
We are looking for an Application Server Consultant to work within an Italian company which has been supporting businesses, financial institutions, and public entities with application solutions and IT services for over 40 years. They are specialized mainly in supporting business needs with an ecosystem of managed services and Cloud solutions.
As an Application Server Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the installation, configuration, administration, and optimization of application server instances. Your expertise will be vital in troubleshooting technical issues, conducting performance and workload analyses, and ensuring the seamless migration of platforms. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing solutions related to High Reliability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, configuration, administration, upgrade, and tuning of Application Server instances;
Troubleshooting technical issues;
Analysis of Performance & Workload;
Platform migrations;
Solutions for High Reliability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
Proven experience of at least 4 years as an Application Server Consultant or similar role.
Knowledge of Office products.
Familiarity with different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX).
Knowledge of various products: Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache, Apache Tomcat, MS IIS, JBOSS EAP, and JBOSS.
Highly desirable is familiarity with a diverse set of tools, including but not limited to NGINX, IBM WebSphere Appl Srv, Payara Enterprise, LiteSpeed Web Server, Apache Geronimo, Cloudflare Workers, GlassFish, JEUS, Caddy, Jetty, Switchover, GigaSpaces, Lucee, Plesk, Parallels RAS, LINX, Render, and Oracle Tuxedo.
