Hey, I'm HERNÁN!
CTO
Belgium
I started working at IBM at the age of 18, doing data entry for a few months, before beginning my career in infrastructure by solving low-severity issues with Windows servers. I then joined Cargill, where I became familiar with virtualisation. I moved away from operations and towards an engineering role, implementing large-scale solutions and diverse deployments based on VMware, Citrix, Linux and Microsoft technologies.
After a brief stint at a telecommunications company, I embarked on a career combining cloud, infrastructure and security at EY, where I developed not only my technical skills, but also my soft skills. During this time, I worked as an engineer, a DevOps engineer and, ultimately, a cloud architect.
My new
life in Belgium
I'm 36 years old and have lived in Mechelen with my wife Sol and our eight-month-old daughter, Irina, since September 2020. Living in such a green and open city has inspired me to use my bike for almost everything, including training for half-marathons (both trail and urban). I also love travelling and reading, especially on topics such as history, philosophy, art and politics.
I'm really happy to take on this new role at Pluralit, and I'm looking forward to the excitement and responsibility that it brings. I’m looking forward to continuing to help Pluralit grow!

About the start of my journey at Pluralit
I relocated from Argentina to Belgium in September 2020 and stayed at the House of Pluralit in Mechelen for a month. Despite the country restrictions imposed by the pandemic, I remember this time with joy and nostalgia. While working for our client, Cronos, I was assigned to KBC, where I was the main architect and founder of the Azure platform. This platform now hosts over 150 applications, along with all its shared services (CI/CD, SFTP, DNS, security layers and practices, and so on), and meets all the requirements and regulations demanded by a European financial institution.
