THE POSITION

As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in a cybersecurity division, dedicated to providing cutting-edge security solutions for Belgian customers. Your role will revolve around efficient system infrastructure management, leveraging Python scripting for automation and optimization purposes.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation of system administration tasks, including but not limited to: system provisioning, configuration management, log management, backup and recovery processes, performance monitoring and tuning, and security enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Python scripts with existing infrastructure and applications.

  • Participate in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of various system components, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and effectively.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in Python scripting with a focus on system administration tasks.

  • Experience with different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX) and their administration.

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Knowledge of system monitoring tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication in English is mandatory.

  • Working during Belgian hours is required (UTC+2)

  • Availability for on-call work as needed.
