THE POSITION:
As an Incident Responder Analyst, you will join a dynamic "Red Button" team, a critical unit dedicated to providing immediate cyber support to clients during emergencies. The Incident Responder Analyst will be vital in managing security incidents and interfacing directly with clients to understand and mitigate cyber threats.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incident Response:
Serve as the first point of contact for clients during a cybersecurity incident, responding promptly to phone calls, emails, and tickets.
Engage with clients to gather detailed information about the incident, including logs and other relevant data.
Understand the nature of the threat, assess the state of the client’s infrastructure, and evaluate the damage.
Client Interaction:
Conduct initial and follow-up conversations with clients to delve into the specifics of the security incident.
Communicate effectively to understand the client's needs and provide clear, actionable advice on how to proceed.
Guide clients through the remediation phase, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the process.
Technical Expertise:
Analyze logs and other data to identify anomalies and potential threats.
Utilize tools such as CrowdStrike and Rapid7 to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents.
Apply knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST, HR RED, and R2, to guide response efforts.
Collaboration:
Share insights and strategies with the team to improve response protocols and enhance service delivery.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response.
Proficiency with cybersecurity tools such as CrowdStrike and Rapid7.
Strong understanding of security logs and ability to interpret and act on log data.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, RED, NSF-61).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
Knowledge of the Italian language is a plus.
Experience in client-facing roles is preferred.
