THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Front-end technologies, with a focus on React. Additionally, the candidate should possess knowledge of Cesium and or ESRI, QGis technologies.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure Javascript and ReactJs applications.

  • Develop a web-based viewer for displaying states of climate variables.

  • Integrate monthly ERA5 data with a resolution of 1.0/2.0 degrees.

  • Ensure the viewer can handle files up to 10 GB in size.

  • Implement features to filter data by time (months, years).

  • Allow users to select specific domains and change map projections.

  • Support the visualization of .netcdf files as intermediate outputs of our model.

  • Utilize Cesium for geospatial data visualization and mapping.

  • Collaborate with our team to pre-calculate anomalies and ensure efficient data processing.

  • Optimize the viewer for performance and usability.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • +5 years of relevant experience as a Front End Engineer, with a focus on React.Js framework.

  • Knowledge of NodeJS development is desirable.

  • Familiarity with Cesium, ESRI, QGis for geospatial visualization.

  • Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Plotly).

  • Knowledge of D3.JS, Three.Js, Turf.js is desirable.

  • Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).
