CHALLENGE
Generating compelling news headlines using the creative capabilities of LLMs to better engage audiences and draw them into stories. The challenge here was to generate creative and inspiring headline ideas in a variety of styles, suited to different types of news output, that editors could review and refine with light effort.

Multi-Style Generation: Using Langgraph we were able to designate dedicated nodes for the output of different styles of headlines given a news article as input. This helped reduce cost, given a reduced context window per node, as well as time, given that each node generated headlines in parallel.

Character Count Precision: Implemented prompts ensuring headline outputs met exact character count requirements, aligning with AP’s specifications.

API and Front-End Integration: Developed a user-friendly interface allowing editors to seamlessly access GenAI-generated headline suggestions.
